Default Exhaust one more time

I am thinking about the corsa system for my 95 LT1 machine. No headers just a cat back system. Just read some of the older threads and it seems like many enjoy their corsa system. Any new opinions on the system?

Also looked at the Allen chambered system - any info about it?

If you were to ask me. Without a stroker or anything like that. Corsa is the only way to go. Thats an opinion.

Personally I think the corsa system sounds terrible. It's certainly a nice looking system, you can't argue that. The problem is though that for money spent on an exhaust system I want to be able to hear a difference. From inside the car the Corsa is so quiet that you might as well stick with stock. From outside it is certainly louder, but louder doesn't always mean better.

To me the sound of a Corsa system makes me want to

That's just my opinion though. In my mind the money spent on Corsa's can be MUCH better spent on something else.

THat's the system I'm planning on getting...
Although I have an L98, so it's gonna take some work to fit.

Seems like a very nice exhaust, at a good price.
Some members have the chambered eliminators, and like the sound.
I dont know of anyone who has that though...

The only thing I worry about is if it is too loud (as I will not be running cats).

I have a corsa system on my '95 and love it! No resonance at all and it is quiet during "normal" driving but it really makes some nice sound when you step on it! As for the comment about the system being no louder than stock from inside the car - don't believe it. When you floor it there is a major difference from the stock exhuast! The system is beautiful on my car, made of quality materials, you can't beat it.

One more question. Mid America has the system listed for $799. Anyone know where to get it cheaper

Used - eBay or here in the F.S. section. Other than that, MidAmerica *always* has the lowest price on that system for some reason. Oh, and I love mine.

I'm happy with mine but if I could do it again I would probably try something different. I definitely don't like how the new systems have "corsa" written on the top of all 4 exhaust tips. To me it looks really tacky. The 2 inside tips get blackened by the exhaust in no time, and the 2 outside tips stay clean so people are always asking me if the outside pipes are just dummy pipes. I'm probably going to have to paint the inside of the outside tips black so they match. They are definitely louder than stock on the inside of the car at high rpms.
