I had a diagnostic tool hooked up tonight and it's telling me my longterm fuel trim #'s are low. They're supposed to be 128 and they're 117 and 120. Is this a problem? I'm still trying to figure out my hard starting issue. BTW, there were no codes.
Cool, thanks. I also did a longterm fuel pressure leakdown test. Held 40+ pounds for almost and hour. Guess i can rule out fuel. Must be ignition. God this sucks.
With those #'s , your PCM is well "in control" of the fuel trim. However, those BLM's below 128 mean the computer is subtracting fuel on the long term fuel trim. The O'2 are reporting a rich condition therefore the removal of fuel. The hard starting (when warm) may be leaking injector(s).
you would think... it may not be leaky in the direct sense of the word, but, leaky when in use. Instead of it metering out X amt of fuel, it meters out X+ a drop or 2 more...

But how would that give me a hard start issue? I really hate the idea of just throwing parts at it until i get it right.

Until you are not at 108, you are right. 108 is the minimum level (too rich) . BTW I'm a man that wants a 128/128 in all my closed loop / part throttle operations.
