Default cheap bullet cats?

I have found some in Jegs for $149.00 each. But that is it. I have heard others speaking of $57.00 to $70.00 priced units but I cant find them in the bullet style. I checked my local napa and they were of no help. If anyone could supply a part no. or source it would be appreciated.

If you are refering to the Dynatech Headers 3" metal cats, those are the best deal for price and performance. A Random Tech bullet cat in their metallic line goes for nearly twice that! Not to mention that the DTH bullet cats will far out flow a comparable sized ceramic cat. The metallic substrate outflows the a ceramic substrate at nearly 2 to 1.

The 3" converters flow 450 cfm each and the 2.5" converters flow 330 cfm.

WOW Thats a damn good deal! Less than half what a RT ceramic cat costs and flows the same. In fact it looks just like the RT cat with a shield. The metallic cats for double the price do flow better at around 530 CFM in the 3" version, but hey if you don't need the extra flow these are a deal! One other point, the metallic cats do light off faster as well over the ceramic cats.

I like those. If I didn't already have some, I'd get them. You could put those anywhere, even beside the trans on an A4 car, I'll bet. Great price too, that just shows how much price gouging there is on some of this stuff.

I always heard it was to much heat beside the transmission. Is this true?
