I would say the 52mm is your best bet. The stock 48mm is good to 400+ give or take some. Most engine builders will encourage you not to get the 58mm unless you are pushing an insane amount of power or running a forced induction set up. I'd bank that even with NOS, 52mm is more than plenty.

What is the exhaust configuration? If you are using rerasonably sized long tube headers and a good free-flow cat and 2 3/4" or 3" tailpipes, I would think that a 52mm will do fine.

Be sure to port-match the intake to the heads and have a good valve job and clean up the valve pockets and intake passages. Also your cam selection will have a lot to do with the TB size. What cam are you going with?

i agree - hard to say which TB to use without knowing the cam specs and heads you are going with. but, with the 383, i'm leaning toward the 58mm...

Go w/ 58. The drop in intake air speed won't hurt. The 52mm will be a bottleneck for future mods.

the heads are gm's fastburns that are on the gm zz383. and the cam has stout.509/.528 lift with 222/230 duration. gm says the motor has 425hp/460tq and i am using 24#bosch injectors and walbro 255lhp.

I would have thought the 52, but Lingenfelter kind of knows a thing or two about this stuff.

If your superram has 58mm openings, which I THINK it does, go for the 58mm....58mm is what Lingenfelter uses...

Get the 58MM throttle body. The larger throttle body will not hurt your low end and it will not be a restriction when you do future mods. The larger throttle body will slow the air flow through the throttle body down but it will not effect the speed of the air flow through the runners where the fuel is added. Since the fuel injection system on the corvette is a dry system until the fuel is added at the entrance to the cylinder head the less restriction in the system the better. The only negative to the larger throttle body is that they may seem more sensative to throttle input because for every degree of opening angle more air is being allowed in so the engine may seem slightly more jumpy at light cruise. One other issue that I have noticed with larger throttle bodies 52mm and 58mm BBK and Holley designs is that the casting where the plastic air intake attaches is larger and I could not get my air intake to fit without making and adapter plate.
