water pump gasket question

water pump gasket question
ok I bought new gaskets for my water pump
1996 auto lt1
and i got the old sealant off and put new sealant on the water pump and put the gaskets on and pressed them down with my weight. unfortunately i got called int work and never reinstlled the water pump.
will the gaskets be ok?
they are stuck firmly to the pump.
and its been about 3 weeks.

What kind of sealant did you use? If it were Permatex Aviation form-a-gasket, I'd say okay. As the permatex doesn't really dry hard. Just see if you can dent it with your fingernail, if not get a new gasket. The more I think about it, start all over with new gaskets and clean surfaces.
