The tips for taking the engine out of the car have been interesting, but how do the pros on this forum put the engine back in? Isn't it easier to install the engine with the transmission already bolted up to it? Just curious, because when my engine goes back in, I want as little headache as possible.

I think I have enough regular tools, sockets, engine hoist,
happy hooker, jack stands, air compressors tools...etc
Also I have the GM service manual book 1+2.

So I am asking if anyone has recorded or video taped, Pics with info regarding an engine pull.

Things I will have to do anyway remove Radiator with new dewitts, Remove Hood because I have helpers.

I have searched the site for info on this but nothing solid.

Also I hear it is easier too remove the tranny with the motor is this
True or False?

Plans on the engine include 383 all forged with the all the goodies, I not sure what is threshhold for the clutch is but you all can fill me in

Hp goal is 450.

Also I am open to a crate 383 I hear scoogie dickens has very good stuff but I am not sure if you can convert the obI computer to the crate motor??

Please I need help before I jump head first into this engine pull.

Thanks, Chad

P.S Locals in Phoenix AZ are charging 2000 alone for an engine replacement so I am willing to take the time and do this engine the right way. Myself

I pull them out from the bottom.
