More than one jug, less than two. So just buy two and use what you need. Remember you have to mix it 50 / 50 with water. What I always do if the system is completely empty is to add one full bottle of antifreeze and then fill that bottle back up with water and then pour it into the car as well. Fill the bottle back up with water and then open the new bottle of antifreeze. Just add them together until it's full. Carefully purge the system of any air and then top it off, again adding the same amount off coolant as you do water.

Another way would be to pour half of the antifreeze into the empty bottle and then top them both off with water. This way you have the proper mix and you don't have to worry about pouring from two bottles.

I should be able to get your chips burned tonight and in the mail for ya this weekend. You should have them by the time you get it all put back together.

So long as the pre-mix stuff costs about half of what the full stuff does.

If you have the time read the article in Jan. Corvette magazine "Cooling Trends". I just flushed my system after new motor a few months ago. Anyway I couldn't believe the junk that came out. I really suggest flushing your system really good before you fire up! I have an uninteresting thread down a way titled "Coolant Flush 101"

You probably do a complete flush if it has not been done in awhile.

Use a good ethleyne glycol coolant and distilled water. 2 gallons of coolant and 2 gallons of distilled water should be about enough. The mix is supposed to be 50-50 for a cooling protection to about -37 F.

Make up a gallon for adding to the overflow tank (clean it out as part of the flush. Now would be a good time to replace the radiator hoses. Inspect the heater hoses and replace any that look soft or have cracks in the outer shell. Also check the metal "T" fitting on the top hose. When I replaced my hoses, I found some rust in that fitting.

You will need to remove the two knock sensors at the bottom of the block to get all of the old coolant out.
