Default bell housing bolt help

i'm trying to get the bellhousing disconnected from the motor of my 91. the bolts are pretty @#$%ing tight, they wouldnt be reverse threading would they? just asking before i screw something up. also would it be easier to get the heads off and the intake to get to them? starboard sides gonna be a bitch

Although I am not 100% sure, these bolts should be normal thread, and NOT reverse thread. Reverse threading is normally reserved to counter-act cetrifigul forces of "spinning" components only.......You may need a breaker-bar to get more leverage to remove these. I am not sure what the Torque specs are for Bell-Housing, but my guess is that the torque is quite high.....as far as removing the heads to get more clearance...Yikes, that would suck...but it would be just like GM to build it that way......Vettes 'are not known for easy, straight forward repairs...

They are normal thread patern. I use a 3ft extention and a swivel 6 point socket (Not a swivel with a socket atached). The top bolts on my 84 I was able to reach with a box-end wrench fairly well.
