Default What pads?

my 94 with J55 big brakes need new pads..which ones? I am happy with any brake dust but want the best stopping power with normal temperature brakes ( n0 X crossing or racing done)
What do you think on Hawk HPS? which type?

I've run the Hawk HPS in the J55 calipers, and I also use it in the Brembo Calipers. I don't think I would use another pad.

I've heard good things on the Forum about the Hawk pads.
I personally use the PFC Z-Rated pads in my daily driver Vette.
I'm very pleased with the bite when cold.

PFC carbon metalic here as well. Just put them on about 200 miles ago. So far they have produced less dust and have a good grip when applied.

I have had good luck (so far) with the EBC Greenstuff (sp?) from Tire Rack. Dust is not bad at all and the dust is a lighter grey which doesn't look too bad with the silver A molds

I'm using Bendix non-Asbestos pads now; Means I don't have to worry as much about dying from Asbestosis or mesothemiona (Forgive spelling) BUT I DO reckon the more traditional pads stop better.

Carbotech Panther Plus for street & Auto-x

XP8 or 9 for high speed track.

Carbotech is also having a Winter Special on C4 pads and Rotors as a combo where the HD rotors are about $12 more than the pads.

Great package.
