Before giving advice to novice "mechanics", you really should first learn exactly what setup they're referring to. A mid 80's Vette is much different than a mid 90's setup. Before you tell the person asking the question that the cost will be $1,000, you need to be sure you're at least close to being accurate. I've read some of the replies to this post and they are so different. One person says it should cost $150 and another says $1,000. One person says 15 min. and another 7 hours.
It's great that everyone wants to help, but you should refrain from answering unless you know what you're talking about. You should not answer just to see yourself on the forum. You do the forum a disservice as well as the person looking for answers.
I'm not picking on anyone in particular - just making a general statement.
I would send yours to Racetronix. I would stay with the gm multech injector if I were you. It has a much better spray pattern. Even though the accel's are 24 lbs/hr it still a little off in dynamic range due to the fact that it's a pintle style. The injector constant was 24.48 on the stockers for my 95'. going to a different style might require a little screwing around for 13.0-1 on the wideband (where lt1's make most power)
I have all the tools, and I'm good. I still can't do it in 15 minutes.
