What could i expect to pay to have new injectors (stock) installed on a 94, don`t have time to do it myself
Thanks
dude you can change your own injectors with a 8mm socket and some rags to catch the gas in under 30 min. Seriously. I can email you the pages of my servicemanual if you'd like.
It will take longer to drive to the shop. I changed mine in less than 30 min. I would make sure you have new o-rings. You will spill some gas so have some rags like they said. The whole fuel rail un-bolts and lift out with the injectors.
Whatever you say guys....I just put mine back in last night...took them out 2 weeks ago and sent them to Cruisin' for servicing...they had been in there since new (11 years) and were a BITCH to get out...they went back in the fuel rails easy but were a pita to seat properly from that point....
It's possible that not every vette is as easy as others or that some of us are a bit more mechanically challenged than others...
To answer his question, I'd say about $100 to $150 at a very good shop...
Dude 4 bolts and the rails lift right out.
I use some 2 stroke oil and put it on the new seals when I'm putting it back together just to make it all go in nice. 30 minutes tops to do this.

Im in the same situation kind of , I have a 94 and was wondering what kind of injectors to get. If I put in Ford SVO 24# would the ECM have to be reprogrammed or would it not make that big of a difference. Also does anyone have a source for these at a good price or part number to make sure I get the right ones?

as far as I know you wouldn't have to reprogram and I believe Summit sells them for around $200

It won't make a difference to your closed loop driving (warmed-up not wide open throttle) but they will be flowing more fuel at wide open throttle so you may be too rich if you don't adjust your power enrichment curve. Too rich won't hurt, just less power. The real question is why do you think you need new injectors? Unless there is something wrong with yours or you have done some pretty good power mods you don't need them.

The injectors have 150k miles on them.. the car idles a little rough and ive cleaned the TB, replaced the IAC, TPS.. Im replacing the wires and plugs tommorow... hopefully that will solve it, if not I'll do the injectors too.
Most shops or dealers I've spoken to charge $900-$1100 P&L
i'm going to assume he's talking about an L98 TPI setup. That sounds ballpark for that motor - keep in mind the plenum, runners, etc etc all have to come off on that motor. I did injectors on my TPI about 2 months ago - took a good 6-7 hours start to finish.

I would send yours to Racetronix. I would stay with the gm multech injector if I were you. It has a much better spray pattern. Even though the accel's are 24 lbs/hr it still a little off in dynamic range due to the fact that it's a pintle style. The injector constant was 24.48 on the stockers for my 95'. going to a different style might require a little screwing around for 13.0-1 on the wideband (where lt1's make most power)
