Just drove my 421 home!
I just got back from Thomasville a few hours ago with my 91 Z. Aaron Scott did an awesome job on the 421 build. The Z laid down 557 at the rear wheels with 490 foot pound of tourqe. The car runs like a scolded dog. The trip was 308 miles and the car ran flawlessly at 80-very fast most of the way with the air on. No hiccups what so ever and the engine temp never got over 200. The car drives like a stocker at speed, but when your at idle to take off you can tell it is very different. Acceleration is very quick, and it is going to take me some time to relearn hard acceleration starts. I heard the tires chirp going from second to third at around 90. I even had a fun encounter with a Z06 that lasted for about 50 or so miles. They finally laid in behind us until we got off the interstate.
This car is now in like new condiditon again. Chris Dunham did a complete disassemble and paint change from black to yellow and did an awesome job. All new emblems, lights, lenses, mirrors, door handles, 95 side gills and rubber moldings. Aaron sanded down and repainted the frame while the engine was out, and the car looks like walking back into time 17 years ago. Everything is new and fresh. We put in a stock Corvette windshield and Aaron had his tint man nail making the windshiled look like a factory windshield, without the delam, even hitting the contours of the radar cutout perfectly with his tint job. Al Knock did the seats in torch red, Aaron did the carpet in black truvette, Stereo Creations did the navigation, keyless entry, rear back up camera, front and rear radar detectors and diffusors, one touch windows and security system. Aaron installed the Mov-It brakes I purchased from Bluewasp here on the forum. These brakes stop as good as they look. I was equally impressed with the cars new stopping capabilities as I am with the engine performance. Mov-It also hit the C4 style CORVETTE font logo on the brakes to make them look factory. My brother installed carbon fiber trim on the dash and doors for me. I installed CCW 505A's, 325/30/19 Goodyear F1s on the rear and 275/35/18 F1s on the front. The ride is great and the car handles very good with these tires. New extreme duty radiator, aluminum flywheel, heavy duty clutch and B&B tri flows. I already had 4.10 gears and Watson headerswith the head package I did years ago.
It goes with out saying that I am very happy with the finished product. I am going to try to get Steve "WEGONE" Proper to help me put one of his spit shine polishes on the suspension and show me what q-tips and tooth picks are really used for real soon. I would like to thank my close friend David Tanner for making the several trips to Thomasville with me over the years to deliver and pick up my cars that Aaron has worked on. Most of all I would like to thank my wife for not leaving me or making me leave while I have put a small fortune into my Corvette addiction over the years. I'll try to post some more photos later in the week. Thanks Mark

Man! If I were you I'd be on cloud 9. Reading your thread I felt my eyes tearing up. Good for you man. One day I'm going to have Corey Henderson turn my bone stock 90 ZR-1 into a 415 stroker with stage three cams. And I don't care if it sets off every car alarm in the hood. I will eat ZO6's for lunch and laugh at them like Dr. Evil. "NO MERCY".

Hey Mark!
What an awesome array of enhancements. I cannot wait to see it. Would I be correct in assuming that would be during the last weekend before Thanksgiving in Thomasville?
We do have some great wives don't we!!!
Absolutely outstanding!!!

Congrats Mark. That car is awesome! I'll bet it makes the others kind of boring. I want to see the interior.
Maybe you should send the GS down this way....

WOW - what a stunner! Simply awesome job by Aaron. Congrats on the slick new ride! I remember it from last year - you need to bring her down for this year - and throw Julio the keys! He won't let you down!
