My Bonneville Project up date

Corey (Henderson Performance Technology) has just about finished with cloning the trashed 372 , hope to have it on the engine dyno by the end of the week. Then it’s up to me to get it back in the car, and back to to Corey for tuning. Speed week is 30 days away, and I can’t wait the salt is looking great.

Jericho 5sp road race tranny with vertical gate shifter helps, although it very hard to shift that fast without upsetting the car at speed,
follow this link for in car view. Be patient it’s slow to load. https://drive.google.com/file/d/11Lf...6uBVB2XLHR0NpM

No doubt the roughness of the salt impacted the speed with all that tire slippage.
Thanks for that in car video!

X2. Videos often have a hard time capturing the actual experience; the video always looks "less steep", less fast, less noise....less. But that vid was wicked. I loved it. The actual experience must have been a life time experience.

Having walked the track, I knew that from mile 4-5, was full of “1 deep pot holes with alternating hard and soft spots. It was more or less one of those moments of Lord keep me straight thoughts. Your right the motion stabilization of the cameras takes a lot of the movement out.
Fyi the car weight was 4650# plus the down force of the spoiler, on a good track I could take 300-600# out of the car, and the speeds would be way higher as it’s a drag race what ever speed you gain early carries out the backend if your still acceleratiing

That is an AWESOME perspective! I have never been to bonnevile, but have heard about the surface/traction on the salt for cars and motorcycles. Geez that huge rooster tail going 220+MPH is INSANE. Well done Dave, Congratulations.
