This you tube video was posted in the general corvette forum recently. It shows a C4 that someone installed a 632 cu tall deck fuel injected engine.

It'd be interesting to hear his impression of the B2K, which is generally described as having "big block torque", and an actual big block C4.
Though I'd think he would need much grippier tires than those Sumitomos that are on the ZR2 to be able to use any of that motor!

My dad is pretty reserved when driving his cars, even the vettes. Not me. I have driven the Callaway once and the Lingenfelter many times. The Callaway is quiet and feels and sounds just like any other L98 until the turbochargers kick in. I have not pushed the Callaway very hard. I think the Callaway still has the original 20 year old tires on her. I have pushed the Lingenfelter. The Lingenfelter is a MONSTER from the minute it starts up. I think the Sumitomos keep the Lingenfelter from breaking drive train parts.

I think the CCWs with ET Streets might give it away though...

Was this the black 1990 LPE 540 that was for sale several years in a row at the Auburn, IN auction? It almost has to be, LPE only made 4. I thought real hard about buying it one year.... A buddy has a 1991 convertible LPE 540, dark red metallic/saddle. He's done some major work to it (over 700rwhp) but his license plate is the best:

You are right about the number. We were told that they only did 4-5 of the 540 cu C4 conversions also. We were also told that this was the only car with the sheet metal intake that fits under the stock hood. Did the one in Auburn, In have the stock hood? Can you PM me your Buddy's number or email address that has the 540 C4? Does your Buddy's car have the stock hood?
Thanks,
Mark

I never said the Corvette ZR2 was not.....that post....
was in reference to one of these....
posted in the thread.
Weren't there a few twin turbo LT5's done by Lingenfelter too?
Beautiful cars by the way.
The LPE 540, is it a total replacement of the original engine or a build up?

The LPE 540 is a new low deck GM Bowtie big block with forged internals.

2 coupes 2 convertibles as I recall. One of the convertibles was an automatic and 605 cubic inches. To my knowledge, all had the stock hood. I know my buddies 91 does.

There was a deal to do only 4 of them. I remember seeing 2 of them I believe, maybe 3. I almost had my 94 converted - but it was not cheap.

How about the BIG "Big Doggie"? There was a 12..... yeah a twelve cylinder C4 built by Corvette engineering. I saw it on display at the NCM during a ZR1 Gathering, maybe ten years ago.
It had a custom built sectioned big block. As I remember it was built by a Michigan engine builder that did custom work for GM. The car was red, and the body and frame were stretched to accommodate the massive motor.
I'm sure it was an unwieldy beast to drive, and not practical in any way. But what a hoot it would be to show up at the local "Show and Shine" with that monster. :eek
Anyone remember this car, or have any pix?

ZR-12 or "Conan." It was still displayed at the Museum the last time I was there. Engine was built by Ryan Falconer, frame/body stretched 8". There is/was a guy over on the ZR-1 Net Registry Forum that purportedly worked on that car. There is no doubt it was a monster. I couldn't find an actual copy of the performance results from magazine coverage back then, but if memory serves, it ran 217 on a big oval somewhere.
