All '95 cars have the Dunn heads on the left side: #10225121
Most of the '95's still have the Birmal heads on the right side: #10174390
In '95 is when they started installing some of the Dunn heads on the right side: #10225122

I will say the 93-95 cars are the "best", but I am a little biased...I waited to find a 94 in my price range.
Thing to keep in mind, the last ZR-1 rolled off the assembly line 28 years ago. That's forever in the automotive world. Even though mine is in good shape, it still has items that need to be addressed. Weatherstrip, window sweeps, radio, suspension, bushings, etc.
The injectors in the 93+ (maybe the 92?) were already set for ethanol fuel. So if you get a 90-91, and it has original injectors, you may have to budget for a new set of injectors. Not that you won't have problems with the 92? and 93-95 injectors due to old fuel.
Bottom line, get the nicest one you can find in your price range. Talk to the owner and learn as much about their care of the car. But always get it inspected by an independent 3rd party. Even that's not a guarantee, but I always go by the motto "trust but verify"

The newest, most well kept car you can afford is the best answer. In my case, I passed on a 94 with 16k miles and bought a 90 with 64k. Both were very well kept, the 90 was slightly cheaper, and I mean SLIGHTLY but I like the identifiable nature of the 90 and I want to mod, not preserve it so...I felt like going with the 90 was right for me.
