94 Copper Corvette FS not mine
I went to look at the car tonight, doors locked and no one around that had access to the keys, (used car dealership) anyway, the interior looks much better in pictures than in person, looks like cheap vinyl seat covers to me. have the back window tinted so I couldn't even see in the back, the paint does look original, and to me it looked very splotchy and thin, my guess is someone tried to buff out to shine the paint, and buffed most of it off, it will need a complete re-paint job in my opinion. I'm not interested in the car, so if any of you are I put the link to the Craigslist add here. The price is not to bad (listed at $6995)but to me it would need to be cheaper than this. Also vin # ends with 5101351 so a very early 94 Vette.

The Luxury tax stuff and all the rest of his add is cut and pasted from somewhere. I personally like the color, (when it's in good shape) it could be a nice car with a good amount of $. I've not had a Vette painted but would guess a good job would be somewhere maybe $5k.

Melting Slicks
A nice paint job would most likely be more then 5k, I wouldn't touch that car for that price, mine looks better for 1800 dollars and is THREE different colors of white, most people wouldn't be able to notice the difference, that's a lot of money for a car that needs another 7k in paint, at least my opinion anyway.

I cannot see why C4s cost so much to paint there isnt much to paint?!
Unless they are pulling all the bumpers trim off etc
Save for a show type car prep it yourself get a good 1000-1500 job and pay the painter a few hun to come over later and colorsand/buff. It will look every part of a 5k job
Big $ paint jobs not worth it

Needs repaint and that's an easy 4k.
Interior looks like crap so add another $1,500.
Then its an auto.atic so take off another grand.
That's a 2k car if you planned to make it nice. For more than hat you can buy a very nice original C4.

Safety Car
I actually stopped and looked at that car before this thread was started (it is local to me). It is pretty rough and not worth what they are asking (in my opinion based on other Vettes that have sold around here).
Just recently there was a 1 owner 94 that had 33K miles on it that was listed at $12,500. The interior was immaculate. It was an elderly couples car that they traded in due to not being able to get in and out of anymore.
There was also a 1990 from California with 22K miles local to Akron that was listed at $12,500.
That dealer in Medina kinda looks like one of the buy here pay here type of places. They might not be, but they look like it.
They did have an early 427 C3 that was in reasonable shape a couple weeks ago. No prices are on the cars on the lot.

As this poor rare original copper corvette gets beat on. It comes up as a 66 paint code. GM couldn't fix the paint issues so they had a 3 day run (116 cars) and color discontinued color. It's a cool color if they could have been able to correct the paint it seems it would have been popular. Odds are if the paint is perfect its a repaint. Granted the non-original seat covers are lacking but serviceable. On the other other side the members wonder why C4 is undervalued ....I dunno
