Default Installing boost controller on TTiX

Is there anything special I should do for this install (Blitz Dual SBC Spec R)? Right now I have boost only pressure (no vacuum) going to the IN port, and have the out port teed so it feeds both wastegates to the same port they were getting manifold pressure from before. I have left the other port open completely on both wastegates.

The controller unit will get its boost/vac feed from the same line I have feeding my gauges.

Is that right?

Also, can you guys who are running this controller post pics of where you mounted yours? It seems to fit the ashtray perfect so I think I am going to cut the right size hole so it can sit in there more or less flush with the rest of the radio surround... but I'm open to other mounting locations that make sense.

and happy 4th of July!

OK, mine came with instructions but my GF seems to have thrown them away. I can't find them anywhere. Did some searching on Google and found the instructions for the SBC-ID and it indicates to feed the IN port from boost only.

Thanks for posting the pic.

The ashtray seems to be the easiest place to mount it. You might consider leaving enough slack in the line to allow for quick mounting (velcro) to the steering wheel.

OK, so Nick, in your setup the solenoid is seeing boost only, but you're also feeding a boost only source to the bottom of the wastegate (which is what the instructions for the SBC-ID say to do).

My manifold pressure setup did not use the bottom so I'm trying to figure out if I need to hook that up now or not.

i would think so.

the boost controller works against the opposite side of the diaphram in the wastegate(top side). thats my undersatanding. i am not get boost from the manifold to the bottom part of the wastegate, i got that directly from the fitting on the compressor on each turbo. that bottom side is seeing pressure on it to compress the spring while the positive pressure that the blitz is controlling the amount of pressure on the top side thats working against the bottom side.

Nick is right,

YOu need to still have the boost reference on the bottom side of the gate and the feed from the boost controler gets T'd to the TOP of the wastegate. Also, make sure the controler is setup for "WG" (WasteGates) and not "AC" (Actuators). On the SBC ID and other dual solenoid controlers it doesnt matter if its a boost only port and can be plumbed to the booster port which is usually a better representation of the true boost level.
