I think you'd be much happier with HPTuners. It's a hell of a lot faster and easier to use.

hey, i am a perfect example! i have taken my car to shops on this board and well...
i not a mechanic, i am not dyno tuner but when i put my mind towards idea or project or goal NOTHING will stop me! case in point, i was told that my car and kit was basically a pos! well it sure hasnt turned out that way. my business are extremely profitable, told that ill never make a penny!
bottom line to me, is when the project is completed by yourself, your better of, that way when it breaks and it wil,l youll be able to fix it!

Everything except the tune, and that may change soon. Not to many tuners in NE Fl.

99% of the modding, yes.

Tranny tuning, yes.

Engine tuning, no. For that I seek the help of a professional "dyno tuner."

It's all me! I have a few friends that help out from time to time. I'll try anything and if I get in 2 deep.. This forum usually saves my butt. The Corvette Forum is the best tool for my Corvette.

I am the worst mechanic that ever lived. A brother vette owner does 99% of my mods and it still gives me alot of satisfaction.

I'm dumb, the only maintenance related thing I know how to do is put air in the tires. I even suck at that sometimes.

It depends on what it is. I designed/designing my own mods, but certain things I will pay for. It comes down to PITA factor and equipment availability. Certain things can be done by shade tree mechanic while others can’t. It comes down to your comfort level ultimately.

Tune, maintain, install, fabricate, all on my own baby!! If my car goes to a shop, its my own and I'm the only one who touches it.
