Default Alky kit install help

I'm installing the ECS Alky kit and could use a little help. Please look at the picture below and tell me if the 'x' is the proper place to mount the nozzle. Any other words of wisdom? I've got the washer tank and pump mounted.

Yep, you got it. before the throttle blade because you don't want to install after the blade, as it could lead to siphoning. Before the MAF would get wrong Maf readings.

Maybe somebody else can chime in too to confirm this.

Yep, after the MAF and before the throttle (unless you provision other means to prevent siphoning). Check the height of your nozzle relative to the height of the tank (washer fluid reservoir?) as without a check valve, you can get some drainage/siphoning even though the nozzle isn't exposed to constant vacuum. It can puddle, which can be problematic.

Supposedly, the kit contains a check valve. Either I dont know what it looks like, or it is not in here. The parts inventory lists it. Anyone know what it looks like?

Here is an average piccy of the check valve (ECS kit).

You should see some small arrows on the side.

Thanks!

Wiring/controllers go in tomorrow. Probably post more questions.

I am racing on Sat. Anyone see any issues with just getting it installed and running with it? In other words, without tuning? Not looking for more power, just to richen up the mixture a bit.

No problems doing that, just don't richen up too much. You'll know when you've gone too far by a decrease in power.

Here is my ECS installed setup. The brass fitting on the intake tube is the Alky.

Here is one installed on my A&A kit and you can see the check valvue, I purchased the check valvue prior to ECS shipping them and I have had no issues with any Alky getting into the intake

Ok, just about done. I kept the tank empty, turned the ignition and pushed the test button. The LED lit up. Yea!

However, the low washer warning did not come on. I made sure the wire was connected. Anything else I should check?

also, any suggestions on the settings considering my setup in my signature?

You might have the WW sensor upside down in the tank, and check to see the sensor is plugged in well...
Good luck!

Nope, I had it right. Guess I was following the instructions to well. The sensor does not work without the car running. The ECS intructions just say to turn the ignition to run. Once I cranked it up and drove down the street, the warning light came on.

btw, that was a pretty easy install!

What kind of fluid exactly is used? Do you just keep the windshield washer tank full? Thanks.

ECS suggested to turn the gain 1/2 way on my dual nozzle set up (I think that is 4). My sig has what I'm running.

We have found it cheapest if you buy it at the track, short of picking up a 55gal direct. In a pinch Home Depot sells denatured alcohol or Wal mart sells Heet, but it whinds up costing more.
