There is a little electrical work involved in the conversion. I have seen some of the electrical work from your tuner/garage, i hope they do a better job then what i have seen. What is the labour gonna run ya?
i did mine last year and would never go back to a 6 speed.

what work are you refuring too !!! what person worked on the vette .. or do you know
Hey Arun, i did the conversion with a buddy. I gathered all the parts up, did my homework and then tackled the job with my buddy. We had to make a wire harness because the years were not the same. 1997-1998 are the same harnesses and 1999-2004 are the same. I had to match the 2 harnesses together. Apperently some ppl don't think its a big deal. There is no way u can know my car was a 6 speed if i didn't tell someone. No extra holes. U will need to jump a few wires in the PCM harness over to new spots. I used factory PCM pins that were about $4 each. Make sure to get the gasket and coupler that joins the tranny and diff together. The 6 speed has it built onto the tranny, the automatic needs to have the coupler and gasket added on. Just tap it on witha rubber mallet. Swap out the tranny harness that runs above the torque tube. Just bypass the clutch switch or the car won't start. U will need a shifter cable bracket. This needs to be welded to the tunnel. Auto shifter fits into the 6 speed console. If u don't get a auto rad just use external cooler it work better anyway. Get the pcm reflashed for the A4 tranny.

My car was down at there old shop before i owned it. There were wires soldered and left bare. Blobs of solder applied like playto. I had to redo the line lock wires and any other electrical stuff they did. My cousin owns the former ARE C5 and the wiring was a mess in that as well. Fuel pressure module was placed under the washer bottle and when the fluid would leak out it would short the module and gauge wouldn't work. Bad location boys. Then the MAF wires were stripped for some reason and all taped together bare. This kept blowing fuses and would leave us stuck everytime. Wires looked like they were stripped to probe them but never covered back up just all taped together and shorting out. Lets just say from what i have seen, electical work is not their talents. Fogger fuel pump wires shorting causing the pump to keep running and eventually burn out. The list does go on but i don't wanna come accross as a hater.

Alot of people call themselves the best but from what i have seen i would call them average at best. Let me know what it will cost u maybe we can do it for you the right way here in Ottawa. No butcher work here.

I have gone 10.7@ 131mph. The car has a bone stock LS6 motor out of a 2003 Z06. 150 shot dry homemade kit of nitrous. Valve covers have never been off the car. Only mods are a 3200 stall, nitrous and KN air filter. Stock LS1 exhaust manifolds, injectors, fuelpump, gears, intake,MAF and the list goes on. The car has a stock A4 tune from a mail order.
Car 60 ft 1.50. It is driven alomost 600km every weekend to and from the track. It runs tens on the same wheels i drive those 600kms..I have recently put headers on the car but haven't been to the track with them on but it felt great on the street..

You should come down to Toronto and see how you stack up against some of the cars put out by the shop you are putting down
