wow. how big is the housing for that GT40 wheel? I'm assuming its a GT35/40 turbo. Thats is going to be huge for a 346. Please show a graph when you finish it! I'd like to see the power curve. Should be interesting!

The taller turbine Wheel (thicker not Dia) will capure more of the pressure differential and energy @ a given flow. If your lucky the ligther F-1 wheel combined with it's taller hight will compensate for the larger MOI of the larger Dia. adn spool at the same Rpm give or take. Just with significant more lbs/min.

Cubes shmoobes I've got a pair of GT4202r's on a 402 and boost theshold is below 3K. well below.

Funny you should mention that, the heads are 225 TEA's based off of the Lq-9's.
The cam is 244/244 114
First pass on my Dyno (Land and SEA) it put down 1008rwhp @5400 shooting ducks Rich. That was @13psi, accidental as I had it in ABsolute pressure mode.
Minimum boost is 6.4lbs and it makes 644whp thru a dedenbear superglide.

I think your car will run wild at the same boost pressure with your new turbo's and with the better, more modern wheel tech should have a very similar boost threshold.

Nick: Just think, yours will spool a tad quicker and hopefully as linear. Now go solid and you'll be set

no, it had the A/f pegged below 10-1 on the wideband. I believe there is another 100 or two in it at that boost level. Im about out of pump(bosch 420 run @22volts by hotwiring the MSD BAP), the 65's are being run at 85psi base pressure and I think I have about 200 more ponies worth of PW. so long as the R's remain low. It pulls so smooth it's like an electric car. From Hell.
The best part is if 1500rwhp isnt enough (what I beleive the cieling of these turbo's is) the system was built to outline interchange with the GT4508R's (81mm inlet) for 1800+
It really need a cage at this point
