If you don't mind my asking, about how much more does it cost than just getting a built 4l60 ?

Tom, Looking forward to the pics. I am sure that billet bellhousing is one trick piece. Eliminating any tunnel modifications is a big plus with this new bellhousing and kit. Lets see them pics.

That's good news Tom. Glad to hear something is finally happening good for you. By the way, the tranny I got from you is working great. "Except it does some weird stuff sometimes", but I am sure that it is just in the tune. I hope your new tranny works as good as this one I got from you works for me. Sorry to hear you haven't got your turbos. I take it that PT or Fedex isn't going to replace your loss turbos. That bites a big one. I would be taking someone (or both) to small claims if it was me. I think I would order something and have it shipped Fedex and be waiting at home for that driver to show up.
Lets see some pics when you get your parts.

Will the trans still mount out back, or up front? Is the 4L80E larger than the 4L60?

I might be wrong but pretty sure you would rear mount it the way we have done with the turbo400. This gets you the turbo 400 with overdrive.

As mentioned - it ain't cheap.

On the turbo400 there were custom brackets made, modifications to the bell housing, the torque tube had to be custom sized along with the driveshaft, you have to stretch the tunnel to fit it. I'm sure there is more.

I would love to see it. If it solves the trans problem for us with an over drive for daily driving then I'm in.

I know there will be modifications that need to be done....it wont be to hard to do.....anyone with a mechanical background can do it....no cutting is required to the tunnel.......that is a fact.

.....I will post pics when I start....

Any updates Tom? Lots of interest here including myself. With all of the trouble I went through recently installing a TH400 in the rear of a C5, once confirmed that Yanks 4L80E with its new bellhousing will fit without modifying the tunnel I will be calling Mike. I am building my own personal C5 TT right now with lots up my sleeve and would love to have the 4L80E and will NOT cut up my car for personal reasons. I just can not for the life of me understand how this will fit without modifying the tunnel even though being repeatibly told that it will. (Please prove my mind wrong and show us those pics)
