WOW,
Did anything get thrown into the intake???? Something must have gotten caught between the impeller and one of the bolt holes/theads/flashing/etc maybe? Or did you chuck it across the room because you needed an excuse to get a F series blower?
That sucks.

Hopefully you can do some sort of warranty deal. I assume nothing made it into the motor which is good. I have never seen a blower do this ! I hope everything works out for you !

Not his D1SC from LS1Tech.
Probably bad bearing, ingested something... once very high speed parts start to fail it gets ugly fast.
Oh, there is no way that nothing got into the engine. It just depends on how big / how much and were throttle was when it let go. I'd bet blower was spinning at a decent clip when it let go.

Nah belt held well enough to cause catastrophic failure.

Wow, I've never seen anything like that, except when a funny car has a blower explosion.
I guess either the impeller went, engine back-fire or picking up some debris in the intake.
I got imagine that it had to do some body damage when it went
Let us know more when you figure it out, sorry to see this. You seem to be plagued with problems lately.
