Default Cam choice help

Hi folks, I need a little help in picking a cam for my 427 forged LS7 engine that has L92 ported heads, L76 intake with a ported TB, D1SC, 1 7/8" headers and 3" exhaust. I want to make as large a HP number as possible and need some help with the cam that will do the trick. Thanking all of you in advance for your help.

Do you want a peak HP "dyno" graph or a fast car that drives good?

Here is what I run XFI 228/ XER 236 on 114 +4. With the high flowing intake you do not want to over cam it (Like 90% of the people are). This Cam NA makes 510-540rwhp with those heads on 427's.

Im thinking I want the fast car that drives reasonably good. I am lucky that I have a second C5 that is my easy to drive car. Someone has recommended a 118/228 type cam that is quite tame and I am wondering if this is too small with the D1sc. Thanks for your help.
