I know the power slide is a great drag tranny its just not streetable, I have never looked at the Vette as a drag car, its a luxuary super car and your trying to turn it into a 69 chevelle lol..........
To each their own i guess it is your car to enjoy as you please.
Actually, I could drive it to Vegas if I really wanted to. That's the key, do I want to? I'd rather drag it there behind my crewcab duramax Chevy. Either way, I'd use a lot of fuel and have a lot of fun doing it.

It's not truly a luxury super car in the grand sense of the word. I reserve that for Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche and the like.

The Corvette is GM/Chevrolet's flagship sportscar. I want it to go fast. That's all. My idea of streetable to your's or anyone else here might be totally different.

My "streetable" daily driver is a Harley softail Night Train and you'll never catch me with a helmet or a windshield on that thing. Rain or shine.

I grew up drag racing with PS and 350 and 400 turbos, I was a manager for Super Shops here in Southern California and worked with many of the people who created the products we all enjoy now (Edelbrock, Mallory Erson etc.) I love the fact we can now have a streetable car that can put down as much as 1500 hp and still pick up the date for a nice dinner, when i was younger over 500 hp was a total garage queen used for saturday night money in Compton, or long beach. The car would rumble and shake at a stop light and spew raw fuel out the tail pipes, we have come light years from that havent we?
Good luck in your quest for speed in the 1/4 mile forum, I know I have spent a small fortune there myself, its addictive and a great rush!

I respect your opinion of how you wish your car to be, that's one of the great things about this country, we can all do what we wish to do. I apologies if I jumped on you a bit, but coming on here and basically saying doing this mod is stupid, is like saying only fools buy yellow Vettes. Neither is correct, and both are opinions. If this mod is not for you, by all means dont do it! Like I already said, we talk more people out of this mod then into it.

I had Doug and Chris talk me out of thousands of dollars of mods years ago when I was building my first combo.
ECS will give/sell the customer what he needs, not try to upsell what will make them the most $$.
It's refreshing to have a Vendor such as ECS with a passion for Vettes and racing, and placing they're customers first before anything else.

Doug, Chris:
As a former mod vendor myself its very refreshing to hear that, it looks like ECS is in it for the long haul. Many tuners dont realize that for most of us its a life time addiction we spend into the houndreds of thousands over our life time, and gaining our respect and trust can give you that life time of our business. Glad to see you operate with a high degree of integrity in your shop, not something you see every day unfortunatly.

bradenW:
Good to hear unfortunatly here we have to wear helmets but lol same thing with the windshield here not my thing at all love the wind in my face and think they ruin the lines of a nice bike.

I really never intended to come off like the mod was a stupid idea just didnt know if the person who wanted to do it knew of the give and take involved in the switch.
I remeber when I sold perfomance parts how many people i had to talk out of putting huge stall converters in their moderatly built hot rods, a 4500 rpm stall may sound cool when you read about it in Hot rod magazine but on the street with an engine that maxs out at 6500 rpm its a total bone head move.
sounds like ECS is going to give you what you really want for the goals and build you have set for your car, cant wait to hear how much time you have shaved off the slip when its done.
