Just replaced mine !! It seems the area that most use to mount this unit (driver side inner fender /mounted to the frame ) is directly below three udders that dump cowl water right on top of the pumpGranted the pump is sealed and the top screws & wiring grommet have a sealant around them, but the sealant fails over time and water gets inside and farks it all up . Remove one or both of the long screws that hold the pump together (screws at the top where the main wiring harness comes out ) if they are rusty/rusted , the pump is not re-buildable ( fro Julio himself ) and is garbage !!! Ask me how i know Anyway Julio is in the process of making a (raincoat )for the pumpMy new pump got a heavy dose of sealant on top of the screws (you can't even see em ) and around the harness where it leaves the body then the top half got a condom made of heavy plastic and taped off I'm in line for one of Julios raincoats but i'm sure this will keep it dry until then Hope this helps you
Same happen to me also. Bad problem if it get wet will go out in 2 weeks are less.
