The converter may be off a tad...or you really need some tire...Fit a 28 tall slick with that converter and 3.73 and get a NANO kit and youll be good to go...I bet that car will run a 9.6-9.8 as is and with a 28 in tire and NANO, you will be 9.3-9.5. I would think leaving on a 250 shot and a hard hook you would be low 1.3 short times...

Without a doubt there are some things that can be done to make the car faster.. any futher converter change will ultimately affect the street manners, which we are not willing to give up.
With a 28" tall tire, you WILL rub the wheel wells, again, not an option, don't want to mess with eating up liners and replacing them
The nano is a definate option, we log the bottle pressure down the track... we may end up with a two stage kit as well.. lots of options. This kit is a NOS plate kit so there are many other better options out there as well.
Funny I just looked and have none.. I will ask Larry to email me one and I will post it up. The car is just as pretty under the hood.
HPM custom fuel system with dual intank pumps, etc.
thanks nick, i bought a BAP from u a while ago.... nice work...def post up the pics...im doing a dry kit on mine tho... im hoping to be in the mid 9s as well....but no 250 hit for me...ill split it up in 2 stages...
oh, nick also can u tell us head and cam specs if possible? thanks....
It is a mid 230's cam and the heads are a set of 317's that were hand ported by the person he bought them from. He had the engine built and installed it himself before I was involved in the car. I tuned the car and we did the fuel system, rear end and the RPM trans.

Yes it is a plate kit, it is a standard NOS plate for a 90mm TB, running a stock LS intake. The fuel jet is a standard NOS for the 250 shot and the NOS jet is a size larger. Off the top of my head the NOS sizes are 82/57 and we are running 85/57, again off the top of my head.
budget build? nice setup.... 317's and a 408 pretty sweet
I guess that would depend on your budget.
I would say the engine was not a no expense spared setup, just a solid built base for this nitrous setup. If I were building from scratch I would not have used an iron block or 317 heads, but this was the advise he got when he built the car.
There are of course better head setups, but this seems to be working very well for him. I don't think he is doing to do anything to it until I can at least outrun him... that will be a tall order rowing the gears.
