and after a few oval shaped pipes I replaced up front we realized it was in/out of the trailer that was doing it (the angle from the door to the floor) so that was fixed by simply putting the rear wheels of the truck on ramps.
and as for running them hard.......I've never relied on anything I push to get me to work etc. To me the vette is a toy and I get my fun pushing the limits......easiest way to think of it is I bought the 03Z on a saturday and the next friday I was at the strip with it.
There's really two kinds of vette owners to me, waxers and racers. I think I fall into the latter with a 2500 suburban, 5 sets of wheels/tires, 24 ft trailer, rollbars welded into each car etc.... I think I waxed the blue car this summer, the black car probably back in 07 or 08 when I bought it.
Congratulations on going for it! Someday we have to sit around a campfire with a case of beer and you regale me with tales of your automotive adventures! You DA MAN!!!!
it runs about 1,200 dollars for the up-grade, but worth it.
Sorry to the OP to get off topic. As soon as I can get my Buick done and off the lift I'll send the 2000 up and take pics from underneath. Will take awhile so don't count on me for a bit.

As you can see, I had the same concern you had. I had my exhaust shop make me a custom set of pipes to go under the front suspension. They are like the Exhaust pipes on NASCAR cars. They maintain a constant cross sectional area while transiting to a round to an oval elongated shape. Same shop made me a custom exhaust center section with no cats and a X pipe, that really helped spool time. I have made lots of changes to my kit, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
