Hope your rich or have lots of c cards it will tear your car up! Transmission drive shaft, pistons, rear end your going to wear the car out fast oh blowby and oil leaks from boost going past the rings it goes on and on! And when you get ready to sell your boosted Corvette its worth less than a stock one.

My only regret was wasting my time with H/C and strokers instead of going straight to FI.

I went the heads, cam, intake route first. I wish I would have put that money towards an s/c first and been done with it.

If your okay with a car being a toy than do it. You will most likely spend more then you think but will be okay with it. My only regret was not going bigger to begin with, would probably go with a good turbo system if I was to do it over again. That being said, the car is a laugh to drive now and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Enjoy

Don't have a S/C but STS twins... two regrets:

1. scaring the shizz out of a few of my passengers

2. Now I feel the need to boost my c4, my SUV, lawn mower...

I've had both Sts twin turbos and a ***** to the wall Ysi setup and if I had to do it again... single Turbo or twins set at 650-675 rwhp and an auto conversion...done, reliable and a quarter mile king vs dyno queen.

Yeah when you really look at the cost vs. power vs. driveability I never really understood the heads/cam/intake.

And another benefit is that you do not have to open the motor up, It's all bolt on.

Taking people for a ride that have no idea the punch your packing has got to be the best thing about a boosted car. They don't realize that they are going for a ride in a fricken Rocketship!!!!

I even added extra batteries to my 6 year old sons R/C boat! If it moves by some type of motor...IT WILL LEARN TO GO FASTER, lol.

I went the 800+ route after having a very reliable STS twin Turbo setup and got to drive the car maybe 3 weeks or so in 2 years....and I did everything I was told...forged, arp, Meth, tune, heads, intake, iron block..... ain't got sh•t but a shell of a car out front. Moral of the story....control yourself and you will have a blast, don't control yourself and your wallet will go for the ride of its life.

True ...very true....in the very same boat....I feel you

I'd call A&A or ECS for advice on a good blower cam. For an LS6, I probably wouldn't run more than 7 or so psi with that high compression. One of the guys on here with ported heads, A&A blower cam, and stock bottom end LS1, made 622rwhp @ 7psi on 91 octane.

I made 512rwhp @ 9psi on a bone stock, 130k+ LS1, so another 90rwhp should be easy with LS6 heads and a blower cam.

You could use that cam "BUT" a less aggressive lobe center would do better - 115-117

You will easily eclipse the 600 RWHP mark you are seeking or you could aim to keep it there or around the 650 mark and be really safe

Thanks,Matt

Me too. I regret that I have too much money into it now and I can't justify selling it to get something else.

Cars are my addiction.. some put the money up their nose or into their arms.. some gamble 1000's a night at a table. Me.. my car is my hobby.. making it faster has been a nice ride.. In the grand scheme of things.. at least i'm enjoying it. Its not always uphill.. there are some problem moments with a modified car.. everyone has these. If you work through them.. the end result you learn something and have fun in the process.

If you want reliable.. leave it stock.. but dont complain on the performance. You want performance.. there will be maintenance. Its like a fighter jet.. 4 hours maintenance for a few minutes in the air. In the end its worth it.

Regrets.. not having enough $$$

Better to regret the things you do than the things you didn't.
