What was your AFR? What is your fuel pressure on full psi?

First 2 runs were throw aways. 3rd run i think it ran out of gas during the run. I had between 1/8 and 1/4 tank but thought it would be ok. Sputtering it went 6.1 at 119 and 9.5 at 141. Found 3 plugs burnt off the ground strap, replaced them but still not running right. That's it we're done heading home and see what happened.

Awe crap Chris, I hope everything is ok with it...

Hopefully the lean out during the "out of gas" run didnt cook anything else besides the plugs...

On my old nitrous setup, I cooked plugs several times (ground straps gone and pepper on the plugs) and it still always ran fine after a plug swap.

I'm assuming you had C16 in it at the track.

I know I never run either of my cars or bikes at the strip with less then 1/4 tank.... Normally I try to have 1/2 tank when I arrive at the track and leave at 1/4 tank.... Too much chance of the pumps losing prime from fuel slosh.

Yes I ran C16 fuel with TR7 plugs. The AFR is about 11.5 and I'm not sure of the fuel psi, I wasn't really looking. I was trying to setup light as possible, not the best idea...

Vid is up! Here I was dialed 10.50 in the brackets.

I don't understand something here you are about 1k whp and trapping 141 9.5 and thats good but someone else did the same and he's getting bashed and almost called out that he doesn't have 900whp and more like 750 because he's not doing 150ish in the 1/4. I'm i missing something here. Why aren't you trapping 150ish?????

Nice run!

I looks like there was some tire slippage off the light from watching the video.

Is that correct?

If so then lower times are gonna be had too.

Thanks,Matt

Well, obviously Chris' car was running out of fuel and breaking up.. Look at the mph, 119 mph in the 1/8 would equal atleast 150 mph in the traps IF it wasn't nosing over due to fuel supply.. Not to mention it would have likely ran more then 119mph in the 1/8 had everything worked right.

Can't make power with no fuel. Hopefully it's not hurt. It's gonna fly once it's right.

I don´t now if i had 100% 1/8 mile run sputtering like that but a 119mhp on the middle should be 148-152mph i assume.

just to comparing:
i trap on 200 shot runs 109-111 on the 1/8 and 141-143 full 1/4 run. but thats manual tranny runs offcourse.

That is some crazy power!!! If you told me in a short time there would be 1000 hp drivers, I'd have said you were nuts!! technology and engineering is awesome!

Our real street C5 only made 640 RWHP and trapped 155+.... It's all in the entire package.

You guys are talking 150 mph. With that power, assuming it makes that power on the track, it should go more like 170.

I've watched a lot of turbo cars here run 160 plus with 900 dyno tested whp, and these are Mustangs. Move that up to 1000 rwhp and they go 170. I've watched em from the line, from the stands, and from the drivers seat of my Nova as they disappear in front of me.
Chris probably knows some of the same guys I do.

Unfortunately, Chris's car wasn't happy at the track. It's a slow process from the dyno to the strip, when it get's happy, it will fly!

I too hope the damage isn't severe.

Ron
