Do BAP go bad. Mine always said 60 pounds now it's at 55-56. The fuel pumps are new GM one that were installed under warrenty when crossover was fixed.

Measure the voltage at the pump and you'll be able to see....

I will check voltage. It's working just a 4 to 5 pound difference in pressure.

We have sold hundreds of KB BAP's over the years with only 2 failures in all that time. Just not common for a KB BAP to die. Other brands of BAP's I've seen fail more often.

What is way more common is for the Autometer fuel gauge or sending unit to start crapping out and give false readings. Put a mechanical fuel pressure test gauge on the rail to confirm actual pressure.

Stock rail pressure should be 58psi.

You may have a clogged filter? I'm not sure if the 04 Cars have an inline filter like my 2001. Heat also makes a big difference.

Pretty sure when I had mine I also saw the pressure like you said 58 57 or so. Tuner said don't worry about it.
