The person driving wasn't a bonehead. He was a professional racer. I don't think a Carrera GT is a very forgiving car to drive either. You can't beat the odds forever.

^. This, The Carrera GT is not a forgiving car by any means... Both Jay Leno and The Stig almost bit the dust in a Carrera GT. Leno and Jeremy Clarkson said it is a difficult car to drive even for the professionals.
He seemed like a really cool guy. I'm not a huge fan of the Fast & Furious series but they are entertaining and certainly have had a few cool cars. Paul was a huge car guy. RIP
When I go to pick my car up from RPM, im going to stop at the crash site to pay respect. Maybe ill top it off with a fat burn out!! It's what paul would have wanted.
He did other movies besides the F&F series. Varsity Blues, Takers just to name a two as well as being on the discovery Chanel helping tag Great white sharks. Nice guy.

The crash site is about a 1/2 mile from my office. You can't get anywhere near it right now. It has been non stop traffic since the accident. Cars parked on street for at least 100-150 yards.
I left work tonight at 7:30, they had Sherriff cars and helicopters clearing out the traffic.
I tried to go there on Sunday to get a look at skid marks and see if I could tell what happened. Packed with people. More of the same tonight.

He had awesome collection from that video on page 1 but why were these cars all Ohio plates? Watch the very end.
I think that all of those cars have ohio plates because they're not his. I also think That's a video created just to get hits. Look at the publisher of the video and the date published and the description which can be used as key words in a search.
maybe he kept sll his cars registered in ohio to avoid smog checks.

No SMOG checks are awesome here....
The GTO and The Vette are both cammed and catless with long tubes
I actually never have watched any of those movies (I was big in the Import scene and that movie absolutely ruined the Import scene.)
Its sad but if you are going to play with a car like that you have to accept the responsibilities attached to it.
How did F&F ruin the import scene? The first few movies were heavily biased towards imports. Paul was a HUGE import fan. I believe the EVO in the second movie was his personal car even.
