Default Increase boost

I searched hopefully didn't miss it but how does one turn up boost on procharger? And does it require immediate tune? I'm at 5psi except 5 and 6th gear which only seems to get 3psi.

Would that be belt slip or is that when your at 5psi and then it starts to go down in psi? Someone will answer that because I would like to know. As far as "turning it up" you need a smaller pulley on it to spin it faster. What size pulley do you have now? And yes you will need to retune

Don't think the belt is slipping it holds 5psi to redline. Have to check on pully only had it a month.

You likely wont hit max PSI in 5th and especially 6th since you won't be revving it high there ( unless you do pulls past 140) You should see max boost in 3rd and 4th if you run it out. 1st and 2nd in mine doesnt build full boost because it goes through them so quick.

You will need to get a smaller pulley, shorter belt, and tune adjusted.

Post up your complete set up and pulley size when you can and we further help.

The pully is 3.75 but I am going to double check on that. But I am pretty sure. The below is what I currently have:

A&A stage II engine block with forged internals
A&A supercharger kit with Procharger P1SC with Front Mount Intercooler
England Green “Mayhem II” Cam
Scorpion 1.7 Roller Rocker arms
Modified fuel system with expanded fuel rails, stainless fuel lines
Ractronics in-tank fuel pump with KB Boost-a-pump
A&A external secondary fuel pump
Methanol Injection by Alky Control
2-bar MAP sensor
Dynomax Supermax Headers and high-flow cats
3.73 rear gears (up from stock gears of 3.42)
Borla Stinger Cat-back exhaust
RPM Stage IV Transmission with DTE Differential strut brace
Elite Engineering Tunnel Brace
Dewitts Aluminum Radiator and Mezier Electric Water Pump

seems like you should see more than 5psi with that pulley, I see 12psi with a 4.38 on my d1sc... the elevation where you live will also have an effect... check your inlet pipe diameter, a 4" pipe will give you a pound or 2 or you could take the filter off completely but I wouldn't do that except maybe at the track... also make sure there isn't a restrictor plate in your inlet pipe

yeah something gives. I have a 3.85 and I'm around 11psi but I'm at 5600 ft above sea level. I also did the 4" intake but I didn't see any increase in boost though but I know others have. Even with that pulley I would think you would see double that

You definitely have an issue if you're only getting 5 psi with that pulley. Also (no brainer) you are wasting the blower given your built motor. I know that Albany is a long ride from Atlanta, but there are shops here that can solve all your problems and give you 100-150 more HP easily.

something tells me that the previous owner fed him a lot of lies about what the car has or doesn't have and ripped him off on the sale... I know you were probably excited about the car at first glance but it seems like there were a lot of issues you failed to catch... I feel bad for you and it aggravates me to know that someone would take advantage of another buyer like yourself just to move the car... I mean what does he care now if you go out and blow the motor, that's on you... I would get it to a real shop and have everything gone over and verified before you move forward... you're not sure what pulley size you have so how in the heck do you know it has a forged block?... I'm not trying to be a d**k so don't take that the wrong way I'm just emphasizing that you cannot trust what the previous owner has told you at this point... you don't want to "assume" you have a forged block and throw some big boost at it only to blow it to pieces and find out it has stock internals

Larger 3.85 pulley on my P1SC with similar mods and seeing 8-10psi depending on the heat.

I appreciate the info and I think your right!! I don't think he lied. But not positive as something's cant be checked. He was the original owner took delivery from the museum and had to sell for a reason allot are facing now. He seemed to buy high end stuff but did allot of work himself but I hope he was better at mechanics then the wiring of the electric water pump.

They do sell engines. So maybe that's it? I called and they sold allot of them years back. Said they mostly do in house stuff now but it's a real product. Since the super charger is a p1sc it's an older one and very well could be accurate. Said call tomorrow and he will see what he can find being it's was a long time ago!

^^ I'm with Chicago on this! When you took ownership did the seller give you any documentation? Like receipts or maybe a dyno sheet showing some horsepower numbers. A lot of them will have the shops name on them plus they will have a file with the program. There's a lot of stuff that can be seen that's done to the car just by checking. The internals on the other hand......... Hopefully all is good.

Ok good deal. Hopefully they can find out some more info. It's good that you have a contact that is willing to help out. What kind of power was the car showing on the dyno sheet? It may even show boost levels as well.
