around here I would say no as well but post this in the general section and some will say 240 is normal and acceptable... with a full size dewitts, spal fans, 180 thermostat, mine runs in the mid to high 190s in the heat nearly all the time... it might occasionally creep a degree or two over 200 but not very often

Under most circumstances that's too warm. If your sitting in traffic, with the AC on and it's 100 out it may get that hot but that's still too warm for my liking. With that said, these cars suck up all sorts of stuff into the radiator. Wouldn't hurt to drain it, pull it and gently clean the radiator.

Also, make sure your fans are working. If you or someone you know and trust has HO tuners the fan settings can be manipulated.

if it's that hot when cruising then something is definitely wrong.

Good luck!

In traffic with a/c on 225-235* is actually normal for the majority of guys I talk to in 100* climates especially if humid as well. With a/c off they usually drop 10-15* quickly. Doesn't hurt to drive with these temps, but I wouldn't start racing a Porsche at that temp. I usually set the tune up to pull a few more degrees of timing at full throttle only at those higher temps just in case the driver still needs to haul a** while in that "window". Then once out of traffic and cruising it's usually low 200s.

The guys that never break 200* with a/c on are the minority in my experience.

Doesn't seem too horrible. It was 97 here the other day and I recorded these on a trip 70mph cruise control. AC was on full blast set to 60 lol.

Outside 97
Coolant 225
Oil 245
IAT 104
Oil pressure over 40

It actually ran a few degrees cooler when it was off the highway. Car does have ZR1 5-6th gears in it so the RPM is a bit higher on highway generating a bit more heat.

With no AC in 80ish degree weather it runs:

185-195 coolant
215-225 oil

I have stock fans (modified settings), stock radiator, 160 t stat and the Larger dual procharger intercoolers that do not block the radiator but are likely at the top of the efficiency range.

I could likely drop my oil temps if I went to a 30w instead of the T6 5w-40 I am using now but T6 has been fantastic and always had fantastic pressure. I know it would take 300 degrees no problem before breaking down but I've never even had it hotter than 250 after beating on it in 90+ degress According to hod rod mag I'm in a pretty good spot with the oil temp often exceeding 212 ( water's boiling point). http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/...l-temperature/
