Which intake manifold do you run or would you run for boosted motors?

Holley High rise?

Edelbrock ProFlo?

FAST 102mm?

MSD Atomic 103mm?

Any other I haven't listed?

Unless you have a screw or roots blower then I know what you are doing lol

LS6 or LS2 if you want the larger throttle body. The manifold isnt as necessary for forced induction.

Right now I have LS6 intake and throttle, I am kinda learning towards more of a gain even if a little and a little more "wow" factor for looks when I pop the hood.

Holley Hi Ram will give the "wow" factor, and you dont even need to open the hood!... Currently installing one on my C6.

I have a 4" high rise at the moment lol no need for cutting or worrying about clearance on my side lol I am surprised it fit under a stock c6 hood though

Post #17 here mentions a very interesting piece. Initially aimed at Gen5's, but will traverse to others too, and low profile may well suit many. He reckons pricing to be around $1500 or so.

That doesn't look bad, but I may go with a Holley or an Atomic (since no one has one)

Pretty sure you will have to notch the cowl with the Holley.

Thank you. I cut the louvers in myself. It hurt me to do that to such a pricey and brand new hood though, but it was very much needed.

I meant the wiper cowl. Cylinders 7 and 8 and pretty well tucked back under there and the back of the plenum extends further than the runners.

True.. Idk I haven't heard that problem before on the C5 with the holley. If I do then it wont be too hard for me to do plus I may even take it off and paint it, its kinda faded black now.

I dont know of anyone that runs one on a c5 and I believe its for that reason. That is the same reason that intakes like the fast are so popular, they flow better than stock and are still compact enough to fit under the cowl.

Whats the endgame here? Will it be raced often? ET goal? Trap goal? Dyno goal?

If you arent looking for the absolute maximum power there is no reason to upgrade from the LS6. There are plenty of examples of these cars making between 400-800 whp on an LS6 intake. Just get it smoothed out and painted if you want the bling and spend the money getting your new power to the ground instead.

There are cars making double on stock intakes, they're just bloody good designs from the factory !

In most cases, unless you're looking for good gains at high rpm, often the stock intake is one of the best. Certainly best value if they're free.

I am looking for more power as well, either twins or ecs in the future. I know the LS6 can get me there but it will be easier with a bigger manifold and throttle body, IMO. I am wanting a qt of low 10s high 9s, and wanting around 750-850 to the rear. I talked to Holley and they said the sniper will give you a high advantage over the stock ls6 for power and it will hold up to 25psi of boost. On a test of a modified engine (which isnt a very good comparison at times) the sniper rated 50 over stock.

I agree they are damn good, but wanting more umpf, which is better gains in the highs lol I also do rolls races from time to time, so it will help top end as well. Right now i have 378 to the rear. I'll post pics and a dyno sheet once it get it on and tuned.
