Going to order blower soon need advice on set up
Going to place a order for a blower set up soon. I was going to go ECS, but Im on the fence between A&A and ECS now. Im not looking for a versus thread, but a plan for the future thread.
I plan on 600 to 700rwhp next spring. I want to get to 800 plus in the future.
I have heard cog drive, flip drive and some others. What route should I go? Should I do a 8 rib set up right away?
My goal is no belt slip when I get to 800rwhp.

Don't forget a good meth kit.

you can make 6-700 on a 6 rib but if you want to go 800+ and be reliable I'd go with at least an 8 rib, a&a of course... if you want it to be really solid and don't mind spending a little more money go straight to 10 rib and a&a's new secondary drive, that will pretty much future proof the setup if/when you decide to add more power... I have their 10 rib procharger bracket and secondary drive making mid 800s and haven't had a single problem out of that setup... you also pay for their customer service which can't be beat

I think I'll at least go to an 8 rib for sure. What's a secondary drive?

I'm making 900whp with an A&A bracket and 8 rib setup and D1SC procharger. no flip/secondary drive. If I was doing it again I'd go with the D1X for sure though and if you're replacing all the pulleys and aligning it all may as well go 10 rib imo although that's over kill.
you can make 800whp on a normal 8 rib belt with no flip/secondary drive but you really need to get proper calibrated laser tool to make sure all the pulleys are perfectly aligned at that power level imo.
I think lots of people have made 800whp on both ECS and A&A kits though so I don't think matters much at that power level which one you go with.
I've had great luck with A&A customer service. highly recommended.

If your plan is to hit 800RWHP I would definitely get a 8 rib kit. Doesn't make sense to buy the 8 rib later as it will just costs you more money than doing it all at once. If your looking for a great deal on a kit give me a call. I can give you a great deal with excellent service. PLUS we offer 0% financing for up to 1 year
ECS makes a great kit and we sell a bunch of them...

I will be going through A&A or ECS directly. Their direct prices are better than yours and the customer service is way better. They wont try to sell me something I dont want or need like you did. Do not pm me about this either.
Definitely going to do the laser tool. Both ECS and A&A said the 8 rib wouldnt be worth it right now since I already have a ATI balancer and will be taking the motor out to forge it when I go for the 800. I will run 600-650rwhp for a year or two.

Yes they are correct for 600-700RWHP you won't need a 8 rib but you also stated you didn't want to spend money twice.
As far as their pricing is better than ours... TPS is the largest Corvette Supercharger dealer in the country and there's a reason for that ... good luck with your purchase
