I think these 5 things are necessary so far from what I have researched
2 Parts down!......(maybe 3)
2 questions for you guys.....It just occurred to me that if I am having a shop do the entire cam install etc...I would not need a crank pinning kit since they would certainly already have one there and that I would just need to supply the Harmonic Balancer. Does this seem right?
Second, Do I need to buy bolts for the Genuine GM 12589016 Camshaft Retainer that I just bought. I am not sure if its countersunk or not?

if you bought an innovators west balancer and their crank pin kit then yes keep the pin kit, it is specific to innovators west balancers and completely different than the standard pin kits... if your cam retainer plate uses countersunk torx bolts then yes you will have to buy those, just wait until you get it and see which bolts it uses

I am going with the IW Balancer after careful thought and the help you and the others provided. (can't thank you guys enough). I have not bought a crank pin kit yet. My installer is an authorized dealer for Innovators West and I figured that they would have the kit. Did I assume this correctly? hahah

I'm looking at Trunnion kits right now and see prices all over the map, especially on Ebay. Some seem sketchy. 50-80 dollar difference and people using the same pictures for high and lower priced. What gives?
Should I just go with BTR site or Summit, something trustworthy or are the ones on Ebay and such the same thing, but cheaper?
Trunnion kit down....Bought what is supposedly a Smith Bros. Bronze off Ebay (Seller said its 100 percent Smith Bros.). Hopefully I won't have to send it back. Strange how the price varies so much for these kits on Ebay.....Anyone ever buy one off ebay?

never bought a trunnion kit on ebay (got mine from Bret) but I have bought other parts, I usually check to see if the seller is an authorized dealer of whatever part it is that I'm looking for to avoid getting a knockoff... most of those bronze bushing kits look nearly identical except for che

Yeah, I am definitely going to send it back just to be sure. The seller said it was Smith Bros at first, then he said it was PRW. I looked at PRW Industries and it looks shady to me. No interest in dealing with crap parts and false advertising. Too many scammers out there!

Just got the PRW Trunnions in the mail. They are strangely packed with the Bronze Bushing all in one bag and not in individual trays that I normally see. I am definitely sending these back. If anyone wants pictures before I send back for reference, let me know. My wife was told that these would be Smith Bros and he sent me PRW. Crazy.
Alright. Now I got the correct Smith Bros. kit on order.
Also picked up Timing Chain Dampener-the LS2/LS3 12588670 as I have a 2004 Z06 and according to my research of posts on here, it should fit since its a 2004. (fingers crossed)
Also got the ARP LSx CAM BOLT KIT 134-1003
I got the CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE CAM RETAINER BOLT 11561455 ( for countersunk style plates)
And also the Camshaft Lock Plate, LS 3 Bolt
Getting close....Waiting on Uncle Sam the tax man to buy me the Balancer. LOLOL
If you read the description on the BTR one posted above it states "2004 Blocks should be checked for spacing as damper part number 12588670 may be needed." It seems as thought 2004 blocks could have either spacing based on where they fell in the production schedule.
