the factory rad is pretty efficient and uber cheap. Throw the better fans on which aren't too bad and run a fresh clean rad and you will likely be fine

the water wetter and other similar products help too. The dewitts is pricey

problem is, someone already modified the top under my supercharger by cutting and bending the top frame support.....I could lower the craddle but don't want anymore exposed so a cut down radiator may be my only option.

I don’t want to go to big as I don’t have tons of extra space but I do have extra space as I could see. What is a good recommendation for it and upgrade to the radiator.? What are you guys using?
i have seen rads for under 350 aud on australian sites (e.g. 45mm). ebay wants aud 99 for shipping. i forget the brad, surely chinese, but were getting getting good revievs on forums when i checked last year.

yeah, problem is I need a cut down version and all honesty. I modified my stock one fit under the supercharger and it really needs a larger core as it runs a tad warm with air conditioner on and aggressive driving. I don’t think there’s gonna be too much. I can do to get away with a cheap solution to this unless somebody offers in an expensive cut down version as well as a fan set up to work with it.

are you using one of the "dongles"? i have about 1.5" of free space there with the esc kit and stock radiator. or are you trying to go straight out? this doesn improve anything, i mentioned that somewhere on here a few years back.

as most have mentioned: the Ron Davis & DeWitts are the top choices for upgraded radiators (but expensive as all get-out).
plenty of guys have tried the sweat-shop aluminum radiators over the years - very hit or miss on the quality.

gotta spell it out nowadays, man... i don't think you can text message 1-800 numbers, and young'uns don't correlate letters to the numerical dial or keypad no more.

and for the record: i've got a supercharger (of the TVS persuasion), and my intake tube fits just fine over a standard radiator. the cut-down designs are specifically for the centrifugal blowers that also run big intake tubes - not required for just "any supercharger".

I went with the ECP(Engineered Cooling Products) for $347 plus tax and shipping. Very nice quality and my car is definitely running cooler. Fit was good as well. speedcooling.com
My supercharged Z is running on the thermostat at 180 degrees in 103-degree temperatures here in south Texas. I had a problem with a Motorad thermostat first but now with Mr Gasket t-stat I am very happy with the results.

ECP is pretty new to the market. They had some issued early on that steered a LOT of people away from them. Time will tell if they recover from that.

good fast cheap pick any 2

I've run dewitts in

95 lpe zr1
2003 twin turbo z06
2004 416 d1x (coming soon, blower install in progress)

with the high hp, comes high heat. You shouldn't cheap out and ruin an expensive engine with an "also ran" rad that doesn't work

the factory rad stinks, thin, plastic end tanks that crack and leak

when the get a bit of miles on them the plastic craps out And the bottom feeder vettes clog up the radiators pretty fast

I might need that "cut down" for the blower project, if so, they have them.

been very happy with the products.

maybe post a pic of yours and i can see a difference vs mine.......the stock radiator on mine was notched out on the top and pushed down..............i'm also looking for increased cooling capacity, my stock tank on the top driver side is cracked.....maybe your piping is different than mine or your craddle is lowered??
