Default Performance radiator for supercharged application

Guys, I have a 99C5 with the ECS supercharger and the stock radiator while it works has started to leak a little. My car tends to run a little warm when using the air conditioning does not overheat and based on the gauge reading, my guess is it’s somewhere around 210 but I do have an intercooler in front of it as well as the condenser still but I’d like to upgrade the stock radiator to maybe something a little bigger. I don’t want to go to big as I don’t have tons of extra space but I do have extra space as I could see. What is a good recommendation for it and upgrade to the radiator.? What are you guys using?

I would be interested to know as well. Most will say Dewitts but I would like to know if anyone has had a good experience with another manufacturer? Maybe less expensive...

I don’t even know where to begin with this because I come from the mustang world, so I’m still learning what to use on these cars

Guys, I’ve seen the options a Dewitt’s either the normal version or a cut down version. I do have a supercharger and I know that you can use the stock size by modifying it by lowering it. I’m not sure if mine is already been lowered. Somebody notched the top a little bit. I think they did that in order to clear the supercharger inlet pipe. I also have read about Ron Davis radiators. Are there any affordable that’ll work? I really don’t have $1000 to spend on the radiator but I would like to upgrade the cooling system to lower coolant temps

It was a few years ago and they were on sale. I'd have to look at my invoice but, I'll guess around 1050 give or take. A radiator and fans to fit it I wasn't going to skimp on

so will a stock fan set up not work with the Dewitt radiators?

use the bigger fans. The cooling stack size gets thicker with the big rad and you need the stronger fans or it will run hot at idle

the fans make it work well and I haven't seen over 220 on the TT with ac on which is a big test

since mine is a s/c application would you get the cut down radiator for clearance? it looks like the top of my stock is notched a little

not without some work You can get thick race radiators of the right size but they might take a bit of \fab

If I were you I'd get a big cheap rad core, drop it down so the blower inlet will fit, and get some separate spal fans

you can make the fan shrouds and make this work with some fiddling

or spend the bucks and drop it in.

If on a budget get a 1-800 Radiator replacement unit. If wanting to go Dewitts alum save up for the matching fan upgrade at the same time, since the cores are much thinker you will want the stronger fans on there.

josh knows!!

intercooler core, thicker rad, plus ac cond. you have a much thicker cooling stack and without the fans, I'd skip it.

but with the better radiator it can process the heat from higher hp much better when moving

at standstill without the big fans, issues!!
