Procharger Problem
the dipstick opening.Changing the sealing gaskets on the dipstick did not help.
If you look at blower immediately after turning off the engine, you can see bubbles forming in the oil around the dipstick opening.
Any ideas?

VR

Thanks a lot.In retrospect it's an obvious solution, but considering the cost of the unit,I don't think its our responsibilty to solve the problem.I'm stopping at Home Depot on the way home from work to pick up the tape.
BTW,this oil did a number on my freshly coated driveway before I realized it.
Have a great Thanksgiving & thanks again.

As far as the BJ from the twins...no sir...not a complaint from me. (Are they your neighbors too???)
OH....before I forget....If I want to hear from you, I'll throw you a fish.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Just my .02 :leaving:

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Tattooed keep typing bro you are getting funnier every post. Sounds like your buds over at ATI really have you brain washed. Do you really think crankcase pressure is causing a problem with you SC leaking. Are you reading other posts before you post?

Tattooed: OK...now you can speak.
SORRY RICHY ...are you back from Home Depot yet with the tape?

Just before I started this thread, the blower had its 1st 5oo miles. We completely drained it & added only 1 full bottle.
OCMIKE,
Picked up tape last night.Too cold in the driveway last night to work outside.
Hope to get to it today before I get to the turkey.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all & thanks for all the responses.

Corvette Forum: c5 in shop for ATI now - how much rwhp and rwtq will i get?
What really is the funny part is that you made such an issue before that you have one of the earlier ATI units for about a year and have never had any problems with it, which gave me and probably many others the impression that its been installed and running. The fact of the matter is that you just RECENTLY got it installed, which I read in the "C5 in shop for ATI now" thread thread just a couple weeks ago. So I guess its been sitting around on the garage floor for quite some time. And since you JUST got it installed, you have just now experienced your first problem, LOL. If you have the same pulleys from that original kit, you WILL be replacing them as well when they prematurely wear out.
As for any additional mods or whatever that OCMike has installed is unrelated and irrelevant. None of that would cause the dipstick to leak. Plumbing, intercooler, cam, tuning, and heads isnt going to cause the head unit dipstick to leak. I could install this head unit on anything from a go-kart to a 747, and as long as it spun within the specified RPM's, the dipstick shouldnt leak unless it was another defect from ATI.
Perhaps the mating surface or casting where the dipstick screws in isnt flush or flat which could prevent a good seal or is something wrong with the threads preventing the dipstick from screwing all the way in?
Happy Thanksgiving, Im heading out of town to see family.

Two wraps of yellow teflon tape cured the problem.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
I guess QC fell down on the job.I would have expected that considering the
price of the unit, this problem should have been picked up at final inspection.
Hopefully, this will be the last post on this thread & we can all chill out & enjoy
the holiday.

Richy, let us know if that solves your problem. I'm keeping it in the back of my mind in case.
edit: Just saw it worked. Congrats and happy Thanksgiving.  :grouphug:
