GSD3s excels in rain!
Sooooooo, when there was no one in front of me I opened er up - enough so that my speeds matched or exceeded dry day runs. The funny thing is that the car's grip felt no different than how it feels on perfectly dry days - incredible! Here's a cheers to Goodyear for making such an excellent tire, dry AND wet.
Side note: This was also a good chance to see how my cold air mod faired after driving through streams of rapidly-flowing water. When I returned home, I checked the Halltech Warhead filter and although the bottom end (that is exposed to the cold, wet air) was a little bit wet, the filter as a whole was dry (and the airbridge, cold). My diagnosis? Successfully passed the wet weather test.
Double side note: Road and Track searched for the best overall sportscar and found it - the 2005 Corvette coupe, beating Viper, Porsche, Lotus, Honda, BMW, etc, etc. See the latest issue!

Thanks for the review.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
. I have driven these tires in the heat of the southern Arizona desert (I-10) and in the torrential downpours known to happen in TN, and they are FANTASTIC. As Dave68 says, there is no difference between wet and dry roads (once the roads get a good washing; light rain, mixed with the oils on the road will allow them to spin a bit).
Never had a problem, they balanced out great upon original installation, and continue to balance great with the other two balances I have obtained since original purchase.
Another thing about this tire, that surprised me, as well as a few co-workers; they are wearing great. They are wearing nice and even (mostly due to my **** nature on checking the air pressure ever morning, and keeping the pressures right at 30 psi on a cold tire), and getting alignments and balancing the tires.
Last week I pulled out a tire thread gage, and the rears are at 7/32nds, front at 8/32nds; tire came with 10/32nds thread depth. That equates to 30 percent wear for the rears, 20 percent for the fronts, and that is not bad for performance tires with 20K miles.

I have them and like them, but would switch to a Z06 sized set if they were available. With 465 rwhp, the 275's will hook up in second gear if the road surface is good, but not in first.
I plan on calling Luke@Tirerack this week and order for the front end, get my GHL Bullits installed and wait for the spring thaw.

Even though, my factory rear run flats wore almost to the thread indicators at around 17K. This is on an auto with a 2.73, so I definitely do not do any burnouts.
