damn, i would have loved to have been that officer. not to write you a ticket, but to have had the chance to arrest that bitch *** lawyer for obstruction. he had every right to do so.
Give me a break. Is that the kind of cop you are. Then you should be fired. Plain and simple. Power tripping SOB. Obstruction of WHAT!! Obstructing her from giving another victim a chance of justice.
Man that comment of yours just fried my Azz. You don't deserve to be a law enforcement officer. Even if you feel that way, your voicing it here on the forum shows complete incompetence. And the way you stated it I'd love to know your detachment and email this to them and we'd see what your azz would look like.
I could say a lot more but I don't want to bring myself down to your level. Keep up your attitude and you'll get what that attitude deserves one day.

she was told to get back in her car, which was a lawful command. being a lawyer, she should have known that. she was being a bitch to the officer, plain and simple. and who the F*CK do you think you are calling me a "Power tripping SOB"? you dont know me!!! and i should be fired? please, i work my *** off doing my job. i treat everone the same. and could you please elaborate on your last comment, "Keep up your attitude and you'll get what that attitude deserves one day"? please, enlighten me as to what that means?
Come on now gentleman. This is probably one of those "had to be there" things and even then, eyewitnesses give very different versions of the same event. Let it go ... we're here to enjoy our vehicles not argue over issues that simply can't be resolved on any forum. To steal the cliche': "Can't we just get along?" Besides, Grumpy will be along shortly I'm sure and then "his brand of justice" will be applied to the thread.
If you don't know what it means that's just great, you won't see it coming. Something like the people that you pull over and they don't see what's coming. Life is like that. Also was her going over to another car against the law. If so, tell me please what law is that. Or is it the law against people standing up to power trippers. And that's all I am going to say on the matter. It's not worth my attention. I'll say one thing, and that's that the officer had the good sense not to take her in. Im my books he knew he was barking up the wrong tree, and shouldn't go there. It's the one good thing he did.

Definitely sounds like a BS ticket. Glad you got it down to $75, but in reality should not have been any cost at all. Can't understand why they would want you to come to a complete stop on the interstate. That doesn't sound too safe to me.
I'm sure that is a huge source of revenue. With the heavy traffic that Atlanta has they can pull one car over and write many others up because they are unable to switch lanes. Slowing down is the proper thing to do but the final word on the speed usually goes with the cop. I applaud the lady lawyer for helping you and the one behind you.
It just amazes me how every story about someone getting a BS ticket (and this is one) on this Forum turns into a slam the cop & LE fest! You folks have to understand that you are hearing one side of the story.
I think complaints about the law, etc are appropriate but I really don't think this law is BS. If you feel it is, I challenge you to go stand 2 or 3 feet from traffic doing 75+ mph on the freeway. Then tell me you're not scared.
The other point I would make is there is a common thread to these threads. If you got a ticket the cop was a *****, azzhole, badge heavy bastard or variety of other descriptive phrases. If you "get a break" then you want the cop to marry your sister. I would just once like to hear a story about someone getting a ticket that they deserved and the officer was justified and professional.
There are two professions on this Forum that I see slammed more than any others, LE and GM Techs. I had a jerk come and work on my heat pump the other day. They tried to charge me for something that was caused by their serviceman. I don't think every A/C repair person is an AZZ. A friend of mine had a real problem with the "geek squad" computer repair people (and you all know who they are). Every computer tech is not a *****!
I've said it time and time again here. Attitude is often the deciding factor on whether that Officer writes a ticket or gives a warning! I can only hope you all remember that the next time that azzhole stops you!
Okay, my flame suit is on 400hp, stockman, and the rest of you (you know who you are).

Well said!! I agree with everything you have said. Excellent manner in which to express your views. That is what commands respect.
And I to appoligize for what was more than a little off the wall.

yeah, we all do it. thats the stupidest thing ive heard tonight.
No offense... I respect the law and officers of the law but it would be hard for me to judge or ticket another person for doing something I do myself...
