Sorry for the wait guys, the website is going up any day now, and we have not posted new pictures or the web address because we dont want to anger any of the MODS before we officially become forum vendors. All I can say is stay tuned!
Staying tuned!! How much longer can this take though? I'm getting kind of anxious. Props man it looks like a really good quallity piece. BTW, how much is the gutless one? I might be down for two if the price is low enough on that one as both of my fobs are in good working condition.

I really wish I could give everyone a first hand look at how much background work goes into making any type of product like this, not only the actual design, production, and manufacturing but also other stuff like waiting for GM's approval to use the C5 logo and such. We're trying really hard to get this to market ASAP, but we have to follow some steps ourselves as well (like quality testing, field testing, etc.).
But, I have some good news, pre-ordering will start in about 1 week! As soon as I become a forum vendor I will post a link to the website.

As a senior in Industrial Engineering I can agree to the above, getting a product from idea to reality isn't fast unfortunately and doing it well is all that much more difficult. A project like this could be a huge success or a huge failure depending on a couple of small details that (hopefully) we'll never really know about...
If you for some reason need any help on anything, please PM me

Wish I had saw this thread earlier...with the rapid prototyping equipment I have access here I could have a real product out of plastic, titanium or steel made in a few hours after a Solidworks drawing was made
Anyways, let us know the release date or price or something ASAP, I want one!!!

Wait until you get out of school into the "real" world if you want to see how FUBAR things can be. You've only seen the tip of the iceberg.
If I wanted to be an ME I probably could have been. Yes, the degree is harder than IE but I have to take several ME courses for general engingeering requirements and have had less problems with them than some people I know who are ME majors.
Maybe it's not as hard but it's as practical or more so than a lot of engineering degrees, including ME.
