FYI, those tan seats are actually custom covered Sparco Milanos with custom seat belt/rail sections to allow them to fit. I asked John C. about those months ago, he said the custom fitment required was very time consuming and costly (the seller had them for an incredible price given all that).
Yeah, the Milanos are really excellent seats - I had a set finished in Alcantara (really nice suede type material) in my Supra, and they were great on track, pretty comfortable on long-ish trips (did a few 5-6 hour trips for shows), and had lots of adjustments and folded like OEM seats.
I'd probably have another pair of those on the Vette if it wasn't a hassle. At about $800-850/each, plus custom brackets, plus modifying other parts of the car, the $1095/ea bolt-in-and-go Caravaggio seats seems like a reasonable deal.
FWIW, here's a pic of them in my Supra:

It's likely I'm going to get a set as well - talked to John about a couple of things like material choices, what remains of the factory seats (so I can get a handle on what I'll have for sale).
One a side note: John is one heck of a nice guy, and it's great to hear someone talk about what they do when it's obvious they love it!
Yeah, I've got a ton of events lined up in late April/May, so I'd like to get my head square on these, and get them rolling as well.

You say "what remains of the factory seats". Does that mean that he modifies our existing seats? If I do this I was hoping to sell my existing seats.

I wanted to be able to address potential buyers of my OEM seats if they ask "what else will I need to use these". I assume in most cases it will be people replacing existing seats so it's not an issue.
Your original seats give up their rails and power adjustment control (if applicable) so your original seats are left with the frame, padding and covers.
I hope that helps
If I'm in error in any way, hopefully someone will correct/clarify.

I believe you are correct. The Caravaggio seats use all the stock mounting brackets, rails and hardware. The only thing you'll have left to sell is the seats themselves. Like you said, most people looking to buy seats are replacing ripped or torn ones so they should have all the neccessary 'hardware' when they buy yours, so go ahead, place your oder already!
Can I please see pics of the race version and and the non-race version seats? I would think that the race version are more expensive. Can you please explain more on why it isnt? Im guessing cause the non-race version are more comfortable?
