Not a problem here! I've been involved in some pretty spirited discussions that haven't been locked because the parties involved still respect each other even though they disagree. You obviously need to spend more time over in OT. Keep up he good work Mods!

Rattler71 I agree.

lets see.

The Mods will lock a post that does not fit within the guidelines of the forum rules yet all the gay *ss IB4TL free posting that is also against forum guidelines is fine....Interesting

A mod or admin will delete a post on a certain subject because the post may have been rude yet when they lock a post they are sure to place some rude response in there....Interesting

A Mod or Admin will delete a post, or thread and not tell the person why they did it....are you seeing a trend here.

It's pathetic to see so many suck up to the moderators and get so excited to see one of them right a percieved wrong. The Mods are just people. No smarter or insightfull than most other members of the forum Troy or Jim chose them because they asked to be one or they spend alot of time on here and they can keep a better eye out..

And the thought that some have of "wait till OT gets ya'" get a frickin life. is OT the big scary place we should all be afraid of? will they do things to someone that will take their soul away? I know they will give a whole bunch of smart *ss replies and get everyone in a "get 'em" type of mentality. Yeah that would be cool

This Forum is "good" for normal tech stuff, great for Racing tech stuff (Road Race / AutoX) as the poeple that post there usually actually race and have real world exp. rather then a well I have this part so it's the best and all others are crap mentality and it's a great place to buy and sell stuff.

It's a public forum and he has every right to believe what he thinks about the mods.

I've been on and off here a long time. I think I am even one of the earliest members. I came over here from the corssfire forum when the kinda merged. I can tell you thats its now alot better with someone keeping the wasted space threads locked then having this thing slow up and crash all the time. Its also alot better then lets say.. LS1.com where every other word sounds like the terrets girl from the movie Duce Bigalo. Just relax, just as mentioned before those guys use their spare time to help us out. We didn't always have venders and online help at our fingertips 24 7. Try being a 19 year old kid and taing on rebuilding an 84 crossfire with no help. I only wish I had what we all have now. Godbless America

Rattler71;

to quote from a funny movie... "Lighten up, Francis". TO enjoy this place, one needs two things:

* thick skin, and
* a sense of humor

this place is not "Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood"; nor should it ever be.

If most people walked into a store and was talked to the way these mods talk to the members here, they would just walk out.

A lot of what you said has merit except the above. It's a privately owned forum and they can and will boot you if they want.

Scott
Scott, as you have seen throughout this thread, the recommend approach to address these concerns is to contact the Moderator that you personally find offensive, or you can PM/email Administrator "savewave." He is always willing to listen to member concerns/opinions.

Now regarding the "rude," and "sarcastic," comments that you have read. There are times when comments may appear to be this way, but, those that know the Moderators through tenure on the forum, or by meeting them in person, attribute that to their sense of humor or style and no offense is taken.

I occassionally will tell someone who continues to bash the forum, its rules, the owner, etc. to start their own forum and to implement rules that fit their personality and desires. Am I sarcastic, not really, I'm just being plain honest. If someone doesn't like it here or the way the forum is operated, I feel the same door that let them in, can let them back out. I don't find that rude or sarcastic, just how it is.

To me it's like touching a hot stove, if it burns, then why go do it again I say go find a stove thats not plugged in.

As far as people walking in and walking out; if they would stay and look around this forum, they will realize that it is the best on the internet and is run very professionally. It is kept clean and civil and does not tolerate the trash you can find on others.

If you want to discuss this further, please feel free to PM/email me, or feel free to contact Administrator "savewave."

As far as getting banned....you are!
