Beautiful top down day in New Orleans, little traffic 'cause everyone at parades, new CD playin' - good to have the vert. Turn corner Toyota truck stops I stop Toyota truck starts backing up into me!!!
Hits my front fascia because I can't back up due to a car behind me. Seems this woman was bringing some audio cables to a friend and saw her friend pass her in the other direction so she STOPS and BACKS up What an idiot. Little damage but what a hassle and probably will take month or so for repairs - aaargh!!!
As anyone in the New Orleans area knows idiot drivers are the rule not the exception. I don't even know why I ever drive the vette there, I hardly enjoy it with all of the idiots on the roads there, not to mention parking anywhere public.
Sorry to hear about your car though, hopefully they were insured.

I feel your pain. In November a woman ran a stop sign and did $2700 to my front fascia and left headlight assembly. The insurance company popped for repainting the front fenders and hood to ensure a good blend with the new fascia/bumper. That took care of a lot of rock chips. The good news is that I dropped it off at the body shop the following Monday and got it back on Thursday. Only a minor inconvenience.
Sounds like the Atlanta area to me......I don't think most people here can drive without a cell phone stuck to their ear. The closer you get to the city the faster we go! Just be alert when you drive here. I might have punched that gal in the nose and plead temporary insanity.

Streets are bad too! Sorry to hear about your car!
I lived in Gretna for 25 years before moving over here to Mobile last year. I was so F'n glad to get out of that town and away from all the stupid jerks driving around over there. I had a couple of Vettes damaged in a similar fashion over the years there.
Had the same in Vegas a year ago. Two gentlemen from "parts a little farther south" in a clapped out old pick up rolled majestically into the front of the Vert after stalling the engine. Never heard of the parking brake apparently.
Amazingly there was no damage.
I gave in as they pushed the heap into a parking lot at the side of the road.
