The one on the left looks awesome!!! The grille inside could use some work. A black mesh would look better and a wider opening (lengthwise). I would definitely buy that one. The one on the right looks too much like a 360 modena front fascia and looks kinda ricey on a vette.
Yes, I agree. The one on the right is too Ferrari-like.
The scoop in the middle on the left one looks perfect for an intercooler as well.
ok .. i guess people don't like the sharp line up front. I'll be working on another prototype soon. Hopefully we'll be able to include things people like.
Left image...honors the flowing lines and fluidity of the car. It could use some refinement in the rad opening to define the shape so it dosen't look so much like an afterthought cutout. It might be a bit too big for the airflow needed and actually increase drag.
Right image....Is I mentioned several times in the original thread, the sharp edges gotta go...And her emany people agree with me. The rad opening needs to be a bit bigger and have a lower edge that goes all across. The sides of the fascia should be smooth and fluid, again no sharp edges and scoopie things. We have one really nice side scoop shape on the the car..it does not need to be echoed with tiny busy features.
Overall, I am pleased that there is interest in designing an improved fascia. For me, the key to a new design is not to make the car look like another car, but rather to improve on the exisiting body theme appeance and imcorporate better rad. airflow and improved downforce. Keep at it guys!
Need some opinions... on the picture originally posted on the right, what would you think if the louvers where made of a dull dark metal or a chrome type metal? This might be necessary if a decision was made to make the fascia in fiberglass...
