I hear you Bob... Photoshop is awesome but takes some doing to get right!
What do you guys think about metal inserts for the louvers in the air inlets--especially for those of you who are interested in purchasing the bumper? The body kit maker has said that it may be difficult to make that part out of fiberglass (that's why he was suggesting poly). The louvers could then be adjusted as far as angle... If we the louvers as inserts, we could possibly also make the bottom part of the middle trapezoid be a metal insert and adjustable as far as angle...
Maybe I need a picture to demonstrate...
I like the newest rendering with the larger center cut-out. I also like the idea of metal inserts for the air inlets instead of fiberglass. Would the inserts be polished or painted to match?

The inserts could be polished or painted--whatever we think looks better... Perhaps a black or charcoal grey would give them a contrast--or allow them to individualized per someone's taste. I could see someone with a yellow car and black rims making the louvers black... or perhaps chrome (not my style) or perhaps polished like the rims... They could still be subtle as they would be recessed a bit...
Hey, what's up man? On these new renderings, we gotta start showing where the right edge of the trapezoid starts coming down. Right now it extends too far to the right. (See the picture below. I'm using the checkered flags as a centering point.) -Paras
Thanks for your suggestion--I can soften out the sharp front line but there will have to be a bit of an edge cause at the point where the line is, the front end will start to slope back inwards--kinda like the way VillanC5 has it smoothed out above
IMHO, making the front look Ferrari-esque is akin to a ricer putting a C5 rear on his Civic. More than lunch money and a lunch hour and a lunch napkin went into engineering the front of the C5 for aerodynamics. If this facia actually defeats some of that engineering, it's rice. IMHO.
Turn signals should go right where they do now as the air inlets will stretch around the side just as much as necessary to keep the turn signals in the same place. I'm thinking about putting a clear sort of glass in front of the louvers on just the part that goes around the side (don't know if that will look good) and put the lights behind in approximately the same location they are in now... I see that you like the design where the inward slope starts the latest. I wanted to start the slope earlier. Starting the slope earlier will allow the possibility of a license plate (if it is mandated) that will not cover too much of the opening in the middle. Appreciate your input!
