I did red led's. They are fantastic. I have a black interior so they really pop out. I don't have pictures but trust me, do it, you will love it. I also used SPDKILZ's suggestion and ordered from oznium. There is an option to order with resistors when you check out.
Adam, can you take a picture and post them or email them. I want to do this mod, but I'm undecided about the Blue or Red. Please let me know what you can do.
Glad to be of help! This summer I will do a in-depth tech-tip on how to instal the LEDs in the DIC (I didn't have time to do it when I did mine last year).
I think I am gonna order some LED's and do this mod to my vette. Does anyone have picture of the white LED's? Even though I like the blue color, I wanna go with something that will give an exact color as the front blacklight lit instrument cluster gauges. I know that plain white LED's give off that color. If anyone has pictures of this mod using white LED's please post.
Thanks.
Has anyone considered using a thin dab of blue (or whatever) colour on the underside the the switches and 'filtering' the standard white light that way?

A lot of people in the Jeep forum did that with their I/P clusters to change their colors. These guys tried painting the bulbs (last about a week, then turns pink), bulb paint gel (lasts about a month), incandescent colored bulbs (dyed ones last a while), light bulb covers (search for light bulb condoms and you will get some hits, these last forever, but not bright colored.
I installed red LED replacement bulbs in my I/P and they are bright red...great.
