Default Performance Design Specialties update

Chuck called me after I sent another e-mail and assured me that he is NOT going out of business and is not happy about the negative statements made over the forum in reference to my previous thread. He assured me that the chrome pieces I ordered are out being chromed now, so I am willing to wait a few more weeks. just to let anyone, who answered my last thread. know what's goingon with PDS. Thanks Doug

fellow Forum members: It has come to my attention that certain disenchanted liars believe that they can somehow misrepresent the truth about Performance Design Specialties Inc. First of all, the previous post is obviously from a rather handicapped individual who hides behine his moniker. As it appears to be the case, individuals get behind their notorious identities and bash someone of whom they have no knowledge of, or who show their shallow reason for exsisting to state mistruths about issues they have no real knowledge of. FOR THE RECORD., yes we have had our problems, and YES we profusely apopgize to anyone who has expeirenced the "full mailbox issue" this has been corrected and our local telephone company accepted the responsibility for their errors. Secondly, anyone who states false and libelous lies, are just that., a liar themselves. Apparently that is the MO for a select few of people. We strive to please eveyone, we have failed at that. But We do not give up or quit. Anyone who wants to contact me the number is 859-342-7600. Please feel free to do so., as for the closing issue., well., consider the source, he/she doesn't know what the hell their speaking of point blank. I'll continue to monitor this. Thank you to our loyal customers and we are striving to improve everyday. God Bless., Chuck

I've seen their work on some of my friend's vettes and its great. If they can fix the problems they've had, then they'll be able to repair their tarnished image in no time. Customer support is everything which is something alot of companies forget nowadays.

Dude.. That is not fair!!!!! First off this does not represent all the facts- ask doug! Also - they ARE making it right! This is a GREAT Vendor who had some trouble - but is doing wjat he can to fix the problem and make the customer (Doug) happy. I have had pieces done by them in the past - they do GREAT work AND care about thier customers! I am sur eyou are simply trying to show support for a Vette brother and that is great - but let's not trash anyone till we are POSITIVE they are trying to screw one of us - I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt..... Just my 2 cents there

Any vendor who tries to market goods and services to a "niche" group like Corvette Owners (rather than all sports cars or all makes and models) is taking a very difficult path. The market is highly competitive and it's tough to start a new business.

As Corvette owners, we owe it to these people to support them as long as they are making good-faith efforts to provide quality parts and services. I, for one, don't like the idea of having to find my Corvette items at the local K-Mart auto section. If we slam every vendor as soon as they hit a bump in the road, we may find ourselves trying to buy our SS letters and Z06 wheels at the local Autozone.

I'm not saying to forgive any mistake or problem, but how much they try to make things right has a lot to do with my personal feelings about a vendor. I can forgive a mistake but I rarely go back to someone who's shafted me and walked away with my money laughing. Those of you who've done business with Performance Design Specialties Inc. are the ones who have to decide which category they fall into, but it sounds to me as if they're trying. I'd give them a break.

I have some PM's from "Chuck" from 2/11/05. He is a very disturbed person.

The PMs I got from Chuck were also pretty bizarre, and some were pretty threatening. I am going to stay as far away from him as I can. There will always be alternatives for quality products.

I waited 8 months and Chuck left me a message yesterday saying he has "good news" for me. I have been told many things over this period. I am a pretty patient guy. but to tell me to call three weeks ago to pay for my chrome caps and then not return or answer calls until now really pis--s me off. I now don't know if I want to give him any money. He already stated the caps would be perfect and they will be guaranteed. In the same breath he tells me I can't return them if I am not happy. This is the first time I have posted anything, but I don't like the "OKIE DOKE" I have been getting from him. I didn't feel as bad until I came upon these threads.

PLEASE do not have any dealings with that jerk because you will be sorry in the end when he screws you. Just met a guy at a car show today who knows nothing of this forum or any problems i've had with pds and he asked me if I knew anything about Chuck,so I told him my story and all the talk on the forum. He won't be dealing with pds now.
